DemCox succesfully designed the steel frame for the façade of the metal taper wing (closest to camera).
The whole frame for the façade steel structure was pre-made and cladded in Sydney. It was then broken down into transportable sections and transported to the Gold Coast, QLD. The frame was then installed section by section using the crane to lift them into position and connected to the concrete slabs behind it. A void in between concrete and steel framed wing structure is utilised as smoke ventilation for the building.The metal taper wing of 'JADE' apartments is currently the worlds biggest application for the ' Tecu Gold ' cladding that was used.
